I have always been enthusiastic about digital art from an early age. When I was seven I used to play around on Paintbrush creating whole worlds pixel per pixel. At the same time I collected graphic novels and used to spend days reading them. Come the age of twelve I went every Wednesday to a graphic novel workshop in Geneva. I found the workshop most rewarding I could exercise my drawing skills and also narrate the many stories that where going around in my head at the time. We used to enter competitions like the “Festival de bande dessinée de Sierre’ which motivated and pushed me even more.
One of my most exciting years of my life was when I was sixteen; I had just finished school and decided to pursue my love for Art. So I decided to send my portfolio to the ‘Arts Décoratifs de Geneve’, I was warned that it was hard to get in and that they only took a small percentage of applicants. When I learnt that I had been selected I was over the moon. I passed the year of foundation course with ease and decided to continue my passion for digital arts by choosing to do a three-year diploma in ‘Multimedia Conception’.
In the last year of my studies in Geneva I entered a five minutes animation for the web in the ‘Festival d’Animation d’Annecy’, though we were not selected I really enjoyed working on the project. I found it extremely rewarding and stimulating to work in a team and was suddenly drawn by the vast possibilities the world of animation had to offer. When I received my diploma I decided to leave Switzerland and go to England to study animation. With joy I was accepted at the UCA in Farnham where I did a BA (Hons) course in animation. During my three years at University I learnt a great deal about the film and animation industry, in my spare time I helped film students as boomer, runner or camera assistant. The theoretical side of my course was a real eye opener and made me reflect on the psychological effects that film provoked on an audience.
After my BA studies I took a year out and did freelance jobs in animation and web design and did some work experience at Bermuda Shorts  and Blunt Films in London. I also worked on some brochure designs for a calendar company. During this time I worked on a great number of collaborative internet based works with people from all kinds of different disciplines and from all around the globe.
In 2008 I started an MA in Image and Communication at Goldsmiths University of London and have been working since then on many photographic projects. As a group we have been pursuing ideas about the medium as a message and exploring different ways to approach a studio environment.
